Greetings everyone

I hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday season so far. We certainly have at SRMC with a new album of SRMC themed artwork and screenshots we will be putting up on the website soon. The album will be posted every holiday season starting in November and lasting through January as a new tradition we will be starting.

Along with reaching out to you all about the album and wishing you a happy holiday season, I come to you with some announcements on some important matters that I have increasingly noticed need addressing. First of all, many people have been asking for news about the Skyrim Romance DLC featuring Bishop. As was announced in Discord months ago when the decision was first made, the DLC has been officially and permanently cancelled. The project lead had to step away and end development on the project. Also, no one else will be stepping in to complete it because she was the only one allowed to develop it. For that reason, such a course of action is not an option. The DLC’s cancellation is why the website pages are no longer on the website and cannot be found. When a mod is cancelled in SRMC or no longer being hosted here, its webpages get deleted and taken down off the site. As such, if you are looking for news in the future about a mod and you cannot see its webpages anymore, you can safely assume the project is no longer in development or not being hosted here anymore. The DLC’s webpages were taken down the same day the announcement was made that it was cancelled. For that reason, there is no need to post comments on the forums, Facebook, Youtube, or any of our social media outlets asking questions about if it is still in development or not. If you’d like further information (i.e. why a mod has been cancelled), you are always free to join Discord if a public blog post like this has not been published revealing such information. You will not always be guaranteed information on why a cancellation decision has been made, but you are free to join the Discord and ask there if you are curious.

That said, the scripts for the SRM DLC are offered on the SRMC website at this link: https://skyrimromance.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Skyrim_Romance_DLC_Project.pdf . That way, you all can read what the mod was planning to offer in terms of story scenes and dialogue. We know this isn’t a replacement for the mod itself, but it is a great way to still enjoy the content that was planned.

Secondly, I have noticed people wondering why the Skyrim Romance Nexus page has its comments page locked, which prevents anyone from posting comments on there. The reason for that is because the mod, at this stage in its life, is very old. It has been out for quite some time and managing the comments page is no longer feasible. By now, many of the technical support questions have already been answered. You can search the comments page or our forums’ technical support areas if you need help. Chances are you’ll find a post talking about the issue you’re having. If not, you are always free to make a SRMC site account and post a thread about your issue. Perhaps someone will reply with a solution. Alternatively, we have very active technical support on the Discord. You are free to join there as well and pose your problem.

Finally, people have been wondering about Raven of the Reach and Casavir Romance. Both of those mods are still going strong in their developments and testing, so there is no need to worry about those mods. Please continue to monitor the website and join Discord if you want updates on them.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding, cooperation, and support. I hope this has helped answer some of the burning questions people are having. Thank you so much for being such an amazing community and we hope you continue to enjoy the holidays! We also hope you have a wonderful 2022 once we ring in the new year!
